Well, looks like the average resident in Wisconsin can't watch the Packer/Viking game tonight since the NFL will only allow the game to be broadcast on the NFL network and not normal cable.

you've got this wrong. the nfl wants the local cable companies to pick up the nfl network. the nfl is huge in this country and every cable company should carry the network. sooner or later, so many people will be upset about missing games, your local cable companies will pick up the nfl network. this is an event that would usually get the highest ratings on television and we will not be denied it much longer

The NFL contracts with broadcasting companies to broadcast games. They reap big bucks from them. Thus, they really cannot let any network who wants to broadcast their games. That is the argument they give.

Chow!!

the NFL only cares about the bottom line, making money, and if you want to see the games you better get the NFL channel because more and more games will be on it next year.

Theyre greedy coz they're good business men. Im not defending them but depending on which side of the situation, it sucks for viewers like us but if I was in the business, its a darn good strategy to make money.
