one of my friend (35 m, single) from India, is in love with a woman (US 75, widow, has two sons) over internet since last 4 years. he's almost mad for her and they speak on net over 2-3 hours daily. he wants to have a real life relationship with her but none of them has sufficient means to go abroad to live with. but he is trying. it's too difficult for them. i tried to make him to think practically but no way. he says he had lost his love one time before it due to his mistake (that he was too late to know how much he loved his ex f) now he can't go anymore with another mistake.
now i know how much love they do or feel for each other but i m helpless to do anything.
what do you think about him (and her, their future relationship)?
is he normal or there's some psycho problem with him??
how i can help him? (i don't want to interfere but i want happiness for my friends)

Love knows no age. I understand your concern for your friend and admire that in you but he must make his own choices and if he chooses to love an older woman than stand by him and give him your blessing. I am 17 years older than my husband and we are soo happy. Love has no limits,except those set by the law of course, but these are two grown adults that have made the choice to committ to a relationship. There is no psycho problem with him. Don't worry. Just stand beside him and let him know that you are there for him. Now truth is is that she is getting up there in age and one day he may have to suffer the pain of losing her before he would like but it is better to have loved and lost than to not have loved at all. If you truly want your friend to be happy then just be there for him and offer your blessing and stand by him no matter what the outcome of this relationship is. As for the money problems and not being able to physically be together right now, well I can only say that love will find a way.

Umm... That is a HUGE Age differences! I think he should just let the relations with this lady go... You don't know if she's being honest or what, since it's over the net.. Plus she's way too old, she could not travel to India. And he may have second thoughts once he meets her. If she has children and is so much older she will have different vaules/veiws of life... Hey, if they;'re happy, who is anyone else to judge?
Only thing I'd be careful of, is sometimes people overseas seem to fall in love with an American, when really they're just in love with the idea of coming to America.

Well it's not for everyone...but if thats what he wants...let him go for it... Maybe he can get a special rate for scheduling the wedding and her funeral at the same time. She will not be able to keep up with him physically. Her illness will start to grow and she will die long before they have a silver anniversary. As long as he accepts that she may not be there.... then fine.
But I ask, what does a young man see in a wrinkled out of shape woman that smells of liniment... hmmmm. Never mind...I don't wanna know.

First of all EWWW!!! and there is not much you could do but help him figure out the pros and cons with the relationship. All you could do is be there, if you keep on discouraging him he will turn his back on you.
