TO JUAN L,
The way to get help is to go to www.schwablearning.org and sign up for free to post on their 'parent to parent' message board. All the parents there have been thru the schools crap and have learned how to use the laws to help their children. They can help you.
Also go to www.wrightslaw.com and learn about the federal special ed laws and the rights for you and your child.

They get swept under the rug, called lazy by schools, drop out and end up in jail and on drugs. There has been studies that prove that most convicts have undiagnosed and unremediated learning disabilities.
Schools are suppose to follow federal laws called IDEA 'individuals with disabilities education act' But, they don't.
There is no one to hold schools accountable and make them follow the laws and help children.
I am a member of many boards and groups dealing with this issue. And it is the same all across the country.Schools don't want to help children with learning problems, so they lie, cheat, violate laws, throw children in with the bad behavior group just so they can get rid of them.
They spend thousands of dollars to take parents to court just so they can get out of helping children.
When a child has a learning problem, teachers of ALL people should and do know this. But, they are mandated by their administrators to ignore the children and not help them.
So instead, they say the child is lazy, not trying, has ADHD, etc. Just to get out of helping the child.
And this child goes all thru school with bad self esteem all at the fault of who his parents PAID as TAXPAYERS with their OWN MONEY and the parents don't even know what is happening to their children right under their noses.
There are books written to help school people with 'strategies' to trick and violate parents rights, and get out of helping children.
Parents are trying to bring this to public attention, and no one cares.
Schools don't care that it will be so much less expensive to help children while they are small than to pay so much more to keep them up as convicts when they are adults.

Also go to www.reedmartin.com and www.wrightslaw.com.
These are 2 special education lawyers who let the public know how corrupt schools are.

Even if the children DO happen to qualify for special ed help, the schools STILL do NOT follow the laws and help these children.

My boyfriend was sent to a boarding school aged eight because his mum wanted him to have the best education possible, and thought private boarding schools would do a better job than state schools. Unfortunately, nobody knew much about dyslexia then, so it didn't do much good, but at least she tried.

I am looking to going into teaching, and would like to do a unit about helping dyslexic people learn. There should be a lot of improvement, and teachers need to understand that a method that worked for one child won't necessarily work for another. My boyfriend hasn't found a method that works for him, and he left school years ago! 'Tis a minefield...

My son was diagnosed in 2ND grade. He is not only dyslexic, but has short term memory processing issue. In Florida, we were blessed with the school and local program our son was in. He came so far. We moved to Texas and it has been a nightmare. You can not get answers and there appear to be no resources. He has lost alot of the progress he has made. I would nlike to find out how to have more control over his education and schools he attends.

amazing, you return at right here with a question and if we disagree with then you definately we are scum. Will right here we pass.We did no longer invite any of the unlawful family members right here and Im useful that the country they got here from does in some way have practise for their electorate.maximum illegals are utilising their childrens in basically this type.Oh the superb people they are so amazing to illegals childrens, and anchor infants if in basic terms all of us get there we'd have it made.remember this once you're questioning approximately this, those mother and father positioned their childrens in this occasion and that they and in basic terms they must be the single to right the incorrect, and could be deported with their childrens. So no my grand childrens don't have a 30 minuet type and 10 minutes of it quite is explaining to the infants that are people or has discovered our language and the subsequent 20 minutes be used helping those that don't understand English in any respect. Why are my tax money getting used to coach my grand childrens in basic terms 10 minutes consistent with type.you may guess if we went to assert Mexico and expected this we does not get it and maximum possibly be left in the back of.yet you people assume it from us.humorous the way it relatively is basically expected from the hispanic community.
