Santa is real......"Saint Nicholas, a 4th Century Christian priest who lived in the Middle East in an area of present day Turkey." He would give gifts to the less fortunate and spread the joy of giving. As far as Santa and flying reindeer that is up to you. My sister believed in Santa until she was 15 years old. ( NO KIDDING FREAKED US ALL OUT) the spirit behind it is what is important. I don't think you have to tell them. They will decide for themselves when it is time to stop believing. However I am 27 and I still believe, If I don't then I think of all the children in the world that would not get something on Christmas day that will make them smile. I try to help in spreading gifts but I am only one person and there are many children without.
Merry Christmas

I can't give you prove that he's real but I can say that I do believe in Santa because he's not only a gift giving person for children, but he also symbolizes Christmas. He shows the spirit of Christmas the reason why families tell there kids about him was because he gives the kids a reason to be good and in "the spirit of Christmas." Even if people say they don't believe in him, I think they really do because he represents spirit and I say never tell your kids let them find out

The American government recognizes Santa's existence and has for ever 50 years. And tell them about 10-11

I believe that Santa is not real (what is so funny?), but his spirit is real. The legend and spirit of Santa Claus is kept alive within all but not the figure itself literally. I don't believe that a man in a red suit comes down the chimney on Christmas Eve at midnight, but I believe that "someone" (I won't tell who) does drop off presents just like Santa, in other words the spirit of Santa because their ways are similar.
You should NOT tell your kids because its their choice of what to believe. If they believe in Santa, that's wonderful. It makes the kids happy and excited; sometimes if you tell them they can get upset and all mad and sad and angry at you. So make the kids happy and let them believe what they want (they have a choice of believing in him or not). That's their special secret of Christmas and don't ruin it for them.

No, and i dont think you should tell your kids. Let them find out for themselves. A friend of mine has 2 boys 13 and 10 and the 10yr old still believes in him and the 13 yr old doesnt. Well she was going to try and tell her 10yr old that santa wasnt real and he got all emotional and upset when trying to even talk about santa, so she left it as in his own belief!! Its just easier with the whole santa thing to leave it up to them to find out. Personally i dont even remember a huge turn around moment in my life of not believing in him...it just happened one day. So just let the kids find out for themselves, even if the kids at school say things about santa not being real, he'll either give in and believe hes a fake or not. No reason for crushing their spirit, let them explore and figure it out themselves!!! Goodluck!!

My mother's stock answer to the direct question was always "Santa is the spirit of giving." As kids got older, they interpreted this differently (not speaking for myself---I never actually believed but you need to find your own answer).

Oh Sugar... They will always believe. My mister and I have been doing this job since who knows when. "Is Santa real?" Is not the question. The question is "am I doing my best to serve others this wonderful CHRISTmas season? Well, they need me in the toy shop... Merry Christmas!!

no hes not real i have proof if you want it ask me for it its pretty long
some kids learn there is no santa as they grow up in school some see their parents putting presents under the tree some kids by their friends you might wanna see if your child still believes in him until perhaps the 3rd grade if he/she still does decide from what you know of him/her would he/she be more upset if you told him/her or if you "accidently" make too much noise while putting presents under the tree, by the time he/she is 8/9 you ought to be able to tell.

Its not if Santa is real or not, its all in what you believe. If you believe then in your heart he is real. My daughter is 6 and she has asked me this age old question and I ask her, what do you believe? Her answer is I believe in Santa.
