I made a bet with a friend that 2 NBA Regulation Basketballs could fit in an NBA Regulation Hoop. I need help with two things. First off, is it true? And, if it is, could you please provide sources, or at least somewhere where I could find one. I need something to back me up.

a regulation rim is 18 inches in diameter, a regulation ball is 9 inches, that means that 2 balls fit in a rim at the same time! I saw it on better basketball - better shooting!
