A group of crows is called a murder, a group of geese is a gaggle, and a group of lions is a pride. I'm curious to know what a group of wild boars is referred to as.

Back in the Eighties I stopped by a restaurant in Cieniga de Flores (on the road from Laredo, TX. into Monterry, Nuevo Leon Mexico). There was a restaurant right by the road on the right called "Restaurante Treviño." Displayed on the back wall was the biggest feral hog head I have ever seen. My immediate impression was that it was larger than a full-grown Brahman bull's head. Close-up I realized I would not be able to wrap both arms around this hog's neck. The manager noticed I was admiring the head with four broken tusks nearly a foot long. He came up to me and told me it had been shot near there and had weighted 750 kilos. I realized then it was a record and still may be if the weight can be verified. If my math is correct this translated in 1,650 US pound. Then the record for a Texas feral hog was 675 lbs. Record or not, it was an awesome hog. ADDENDUM: It was my intention to return with a camera and ask the manager to let me take a photo of it, but of course, I didn't. Some years later conversing with my brother on the phone (I'd ask him to get me a photo since he lives in nearby Monterrey). He called back some days later saying that the business had re-located but he did not know where. The building was vacated. Ordinarily the hog head would not have been viewed by the casual visitor but the manager that day had opened the dining room for us that morning because we were with a large Church group. He was a New Yorker who had married a girl from Mexico and had been in Mexico for twenty years. He heard our group speaking English and rolled out the red carpet, opening the dining room for us, otherwise I would have never seen that hog. He said it had been a long time since he'd conversed with anyone in English and so he appreciated our stopping by. H
