I wouldn't try to get her anything too material (like makeup for example--12 year olds DO NOT NEED makeup yet!). iPods and cameras are great gifts, so is jewelry. When I was 12 my parents got me movies, jewelry, nice clothes, and I believe that's when I got my first digital camera. Books would also be a good idea, I know this may sound really nerdy but I got posters of works by Degas, and I totally love them. Seriously, even now I really appreciate the gifts I got when I was younger because they weren't things like makeup that lasted 6 months and then got tossed away. Give her something that she can appreciate for a long time. It's also a great opprotunity to get her involved in activites she wouldn't normally do, like getting her a cookbook for teens, or craft books (like friendship bracelets or knitting). I don't know, you could go for gift cards, or makeup, but those things don't last very long.

Well, I am 12 years old and I love to shop. It kind of depends what kind of 12 year old girl she is.Girly, skater, quiet and smart. If she is girly, get her clothes from American Eagle, Abercrombie, or Limited Too. If she is skater get her stuff from Zumiez or a new skate board. If she is the quiet and the nerdy type you should get her computer game or an electronic.
Either way, no matter what kind of 12 year old kid you have, cash is always the best gift you can give.

Its not the buying its the thought and love behind the present that makes christmas. Remember whatever you give will be wrong. May I suggest that the gift of love is more than anybody will recieve in this world today..If you love your daughter remember forget the media hype and buy what is in your heart (ie) LOVE

Hi Brenna, I think that at her age,It might be an idea to ask her what she would like, you could always surprise her with a little extra something. At 12 they have usually outgrown Santa and the tooth fairy etc. Perhaps some gift vouchers for clothes she can choose for herself - to both your eternal embarrassment ! I hope this helps, all the best. Rab

I'm 12 and I told everybody gift cards. The Wii is nice but sounds prettty expensive. If there is one thing that girls can't live w/o it is jeans. or give a gift card to Pac Sun (pacific sun) they have 00 jeans that really fit good. but they have others sizes too.

I am about twelve so I think u should get her clothes, or bracelets, necklaces, a diary, or check somewhere like Claires.
Its a girl store a lot of girls go to. And if u can't choose. Get her a giftcard from there or somewhere else. Every girl likes to shop for themselves.

girls at that age love cute, fun stuff. clothes are always easy...get her a giftcard to Hollister, Abercrombie, Pac Sun or Nordstrom. That way you and her can go shopping together and she gets what she wants. Also if she doesnt have an ipod and you can afford it...thats a must too! good luck!
