I don't know what it cost to ship a guitar but be sure to tune down the strings esp. if shipping by air. The changes in air pressure can cause damage.

Check with your local postal authority since they may need to take the measurements of the container/box, and also the weight of the package.

A forwarding company (be it sea or air shipment) such as DHLL or FedEx may also be of help although it may cost much higher for using their services.
