How do I purchase fabric and yarn at a wholesale rate?

I am looking to make a lot of items and would like to get a discounted rate. I am not familiar with wholesale and what I have to do in order to purchase items at the discounted rate.

You need to have a business to buy wholesale. Depending on where you live, generally you get a tax ID number from the state you live in, and a business license from the community you live in, paying an annual fee for each of those. Both the state and city will ask for information about your business and you will have to pay taxes on your business.

If you have a business, then you need to get a resale number from you state government. Then you can open accounts with suppliers and purchase goods at wholesale pricing.

If you dont have a business, there is probably not anyone that will give you wholesale pricing, since you wont be a repeat buyer/account.

well each color has a million different shades and for manufacters to be able to make the exact same color a million times they need to asign numbers and they don;t make them up there is an actual number guide i can't say universal but yes it is a common number guide for mostly everyone that is why you can find the exact same color in different pieces of furniture in different stores or even countries =)
