I had an abnormal pap smear about 15 years ago. The dr performed a colposcopy and subsequent cryotherapy to freeze the abnormal cells. I have never been pregnant and now married and trying to conceive. Have been trying for 8 months with no success. I'm in my 30's so there is that added factor of age. I'm wondering what if any effect the cryotherapy could have on our chances of getting pregnant. As a side note, I would rather not hear from those that say "relax, it will happen". I take it all of you already have children and it's too easy to tell someone that when you aren't in their shoes at that moment. I would think that people who have had a hard time getting pregnant would be a little more considerate of the feelings of those currently in that situation but I'm starting to think otherwise. Again, any medically-based opinions are welcomed, but please don't tell me to relax.

PS, I am seeing an ob/gyn on trying to conceive. She said at first, she wants to give us until Jan07 to conceive naturally and if we aren't pregnant by then she will begin testing for possible infertility factors.

I had the same thing done to me but i became pregnant afterwards so don't think that would affect your ability to have kids cause it didn't me. Maybe you nee to see a good doctor about this.
Good luck
