I have cingular and hate it! What phone companies would you suggest?

I used to have Cingular. I agree, they really suck! I had a cheap crappy phone with them. When I wanted an upgrade, they wanted to cut my 1050 minutes down to 400 and charge me the same price. The guy actually tried to make it sound like a deal. Then when I switched to another company I was penalized for that. I was not in a contract but I had to pay for the last two months that my cheap piece of crap phone was on. They said something about the billing cycle. I believe they are money hungry. Now I have U.S Cellular, thank God! They are much better. With them you actually have a signal.

Actually, I have cingular and I prefer it. I am Deaf, and had a T-Mobile Sidekick for two years, and couldn't wait to get rid of it. The unit itself was okay, but T-Mobile was really bad as far as customer service and satisfaction. I still help out Deaf friends who are trying to get satisfactory resolution to problems. When I had a problem with cingular and my Blackberry, even though it wasn't a new unit, they sent me a replacement within 2 days, for free. So, I can't complain.

I HATE CINGULAR!!!! it is consumer fraud!!! i want out of my contract so bad!!! it is too expensive so i will have to sweat it out!!!

I haven't had any problem with them. Just that it took forever to get the rebate on my phone. AND, there is plenty of dropped calls, unlike their false advertising suggests. I just hate liars and bullshi$$ers.
