Look, if a guy can do it, a girl can do it, too, without being blamed.

A little sexist, huh? Men do this all the time, it makes them feel "manly" or something and then hold women to different standards and think it's disgusting when she accidentally lets out a normal bodily function. It is a little gross when anyone (not just women, but men as well) let out burps/farts/etc. regularly and without apology... There are my thoughts for you... Happy holidays.

If she follows manners that all people, male or female, should follow, then its fine. Its a regular bodily function that needs to be taken care of, and its ignorant to assume that females have to do it in secret while males let it all out freely. Depending on where they are, whose around, and whats going on, it maybe be appropriate to cover the mouth, do it quietly, and say excuse me, rather than belch loudly, but thats true for either sex.

Some times you just can't help but burp. A polite burp is to put your hand in front of you mouth, then say excuse me. It is impolite to burp on purpose though. By the way.... it is just as impolite for a male to burp as it is a female.

Everybody burps, but there is a way to be polite. I think its gross and rude when anybody, male or female just lets a huge one go.

A very wise person once told me "More room out than in!". Chill out, we are human, animals, not machines. We have to exhaust every now and then. Quit being such a tight wad.

It boggles the mind what people find "FUNNY" today.
Yes it is disgusting. and ignorant.. Hey Parents teach your kids some simple manners please.
I excuse myself if I burp and I'm alone, force of habit I guess.
If I am standing near someone and they burp and do NOTHING I look at them and say EXCUSE YOU!!! or Yes, You're excused!!!
Sometimes they actually lower their heads and say OH excuse me.
OK I'll get off my soap box now.

i just hope, for your sake, you never mistakenly stumble into one of my family reunions. we are so comfortable with eachother and ourselves, we fart... we belch.... we even shoot snot into the yard without a care in the world. expelling gas is not only natural, but healthy. can you imagine what would happen if you held it in? i know ulcers are one result.

I dont think it's ignorant, but I do find it disgusting. Yes, sometimes one will just slip out every now and then, but not all the time. It just shows no sign of class at all.
