I lose hand fulls of hair when i wash and comb my hair wet. Apparently we lose 250 plus hairs a day, so if you have curly hair or your hair is usually tied up, your hair isint shedding the hair, its all caught up in it, until u wash/brush it.

It is normal to "shed" or lose hair. The reason there is less when it is short is that when it's long brushing or combing tends to "pull" out hair that wouldn't normally fall out. So if you want to have less hair loss, then keep it short and use a liquid detangler.

Yes you shed more, your hormons are getting back to normal, if you feel like it it WAY to much talk to your doctor to get your thyroid checked. But don't worry its normal.
