Yes,it is.
You can tell if someone is addicted by the fact they'll get on the game when there's nothing to do then stay on for hours and hours on end,passing up things in reality they would normally jump at if they weren't on the game.
That's what I do. :P
The game is addictive on the same level as gambling. It causes chemical reactions within your body,but does not 'directly' affect you chemically,like drugs and even food do.

In most cases yes it is addictive. Alot of people play and have fun. But it changes their personality, because they play for all night, so yes its really really addictive, but sometimes you may get bored of it and get back on the next day.

I beleive it is and it isn't. It is all within the eyes of the beholder. Its all a matter of who the player is. I used to be, my wife she still plays to this day. She has 5 60s and can't wait for the expansion. So it does have a tendancy to make hours go by drastically fast.

WOW is extrememly addictive! if you really get into it! another game that's addictive is ever quest!!!! also neverwinter nghts! all of them are addicting. once you start playing you get into upgrading your characters powers and new armor and weapons and magic, and it's just addicting! you have to try i for yourself!!!

i dont think so, i like runescape better, i also like maplestory, i think there is way too much violence in world of warcrafters..thats just my opinion though
