I've had lots of bad experiences at work parties.
But i'll tell you about the best/worst one.you decide...
i was talking to my boss(probably talking crap) when a friend of mine came over with a drink, it was a concoction of about 3 spirits mixed together.(free bar)
Anyway, I tried to down it in one, and it went down the wrong way, came straight back up, all over my boss. (he was wearing a very expensive suit.)
My boss didn't speak to me for about 3 years after. I got the usual annual basic pay-rises, but that experience mess me up for a long time after.

hi Lily, I were to three, and as you, left beforehand issues befell. That replaced into years in the past. This 3 hundred and sixty 5 days (previous Friday) I attended one positioned on with the help of the County for that's workers. I helped practice dinner steaks and different nutrition. It replaced into nicely attended, because the human beings were operating interior the Courthouse. It replaced into large and many workers thanked us. also anybody were given a present. So that is one which I had relaxing at. i did not like the others, fantastically at the same time as fist fights would smash out. the different one i bypass to is community action. I sit down on the governing board. that is a suitable experience. that is massive, yet not "relaxing".

Our office wasn't allowed booze. Some still had to work, and we were restricted against booze and drugs. We just partied in the next room over from the person doing the work. Every now and then, another person would pop into the work site so that the worker could join the party.
We always had joke gifts expected, as well as real gifts.
Boring. Hated those.

<>. I can't say I have ever been embarrassed but I did have a woman try to get me to have sex with her in one of the host's bedrooms while her husband was passed out in a corner.
I indeed refused. That was, of course, in a private home.
Office parties I had a rule: if drinks were served, I didn't. I had to drive.

When I worked in a bank, I went to the Christmas party, of course it was fancy, and started to nod off and almost fell out of my chair. It was very boring and I couldn't stand anymore of the people talking buisness the whole time. Luckily, I thought of a good excuse to leave and head home early.

I have two for you.
I was with a bunch of my labmates and we got hammered. The party wasn't enough adn I had a hotel room rented and another friend had the adjoining room rented. We had a ton of booze and threw a huge after party. The manager showed up once, but we blew him off. He came back around 2:30 in the morning with the cops and shut the party down. In the process of the party, I drank about a fifth of Tequila and threw up in the middle of completing the bottle only to finish the bottle later. I made out with one of my co-workers who was interested in me. I think it was more that she took advantage of me as I couldn't see past my nose.
The next year I promised to keep it mellow. Well a female co-worker decided she would throw an after party. I had hooked up with her one time after a wild happy hour. She told me to let people know she was having an after party. I wasn't going to attend, but decided to let people know. At the end of the evening, I was standing around doing a few shots with my friends, when I get a tap on the shoulder. As I turned around to see who was asking if I was me, I got sucker punched in the jaw and knocked into the wall. The second pucnch followed immediately behind and knocked me down. As I came back up I noticed the guy who hit me was about 100 pounds larger and about 6 inches taller. I threw a punch on my way up and then it all got broken up by my friends. It turned out this was the girl's boyfriend and he was drunk and decided he didn't want the after party and wanted to hook up with his girlfriend but people kept coming to the door knocking for the after party and some must have mentioned my name as telling them the party was there.
Both times it was all over work before I even got in on Monday morning. We had five buildings and everyone knew about it. When I switched buildings, people who didn't know me personally made mention of the events when I was introduced to them. I added an entire department to the company and am known by these two events and now I work as a consultant 2000 miles away.
