im doing my algebra 2 homework, and i cant remember how to do the change-of-base formula!!! i dont remember how to plug it into my calculator!! help!!!!

To change the base you do:
(a being the base) and c being the new base
log a (b) = log c (b) / log c (a)

So basically you do log of new base then the (b) of the original, divided by log of new base then (a) of the original!!

I was about to answer this when I realised that you do not want to know how to do a change of base at all because you have never been taught it. All you have been taught is how to push a calculator button! Look up your calculator manual which will tell you which buttons to push!

use the logx button. Enter the number, press log x then enter the x. of course if you have a hp calculator it is different.
