To Virus Wire?I have never seen more viruses in my life.

I've used LimeWire for a long time and never downloaded a virus.
The trick is to look at the file size. A typical song is at least 2048Kb in size. Most viruses are well under that size. If you download a file that claims to be a song, movie or program that is 800Kb or less and then execute it, you kind of deserve everything you get.
Also you should switch on the file extensions on your computer so you can see if a file is executable. It also goes without saying that you should have a virus killer with up to date definitions on your computer.
Unfortunately virus producers realized a long time ago that a very easy way to spread viruses was to give them attractive names and put them on popular file sharing systems like Lime Wire. It is not their fault that people are abusing the system to spread viruses. In fact some people may be completely unaware that they are sharing viruses with other people.

the viruses don't come from limewire itself, but from the people you are downloading from
