i have a friend at school that is my only good friend and I'm a goth/emo person and she wants to be one too but she acts and hangs out with the preppys these days and she wants to be normal but she does alot of things preps do so how do I help her become a 'normal' person again?...she doesn't want to be one but she is one for some reason.
i tried telling her advice like don't try to start up a conversation and stuff but its not working

Let me get this straight: you want help to encourage your friend to be "normal" and you've tried giving her advice on how to not start a conversation first and it is not working. My advice to you is that you cannot change your friend. It is up to her if she chooses to be a goth and not be like the preppy kids at your school. It is for your friend to decide. In the meantime, continue to be there for her and be that kind of friend that she wants to have in her life. If however she chooses not to dress gothic, then you have to respect that and still be her friend. What it all boils down to is that it is a decision that she has to make for herself.
