2 1/2 = 5/2
6 1/4 = 25/4
A = (1/2) base times height
A = (1/2)(5/2)(25/4)
A = 125/16

considering that that is a precise triangle, the leg lengths represent the bottom and the top of the triangle. A precise triangle is 1/2 of a rectangle. to discover the area of a rectangle you multiply the bottom cases the top in an attempt to discover the area of a triangle, you do the same element and then divide this in 1/2 (considering that it is two times what you opt for). A = (bh)/2 or for this reason, A = (15x36)/2 = 270 sq. inches
