1. The official name of the country is the Republic of Guinea, its capital is Conakry, and its official language is French. If this is a project for school, then I think you can validly challenge the whole basis of this assignment.

2. These are the bases of your challenge.
a) Potentially wrong country. There are three similarly-named countries: Guinea-Bissau, Equatorial Guinea, and Guyana.
b) Guinea is predominantly muslim. Muslims account for 85% of the population and Christians only 10% (the other 5% will be animists). The religious festivals of Ramadan and Tabaski are celebrated extensively in Guinea. The other three countries have a much greater proportion of Christians.

c) Low levels of literacy and poverty. This results in less detailed information being available about the country. Here are the official government statistics. Only 25% of the population are literate, only 15-20% speak French (the country's official language), over 50% is under 15 years of age, 22.6% of children die by the age of 5 years, life expectancy is 42 years for men and 47 years for women, and about 40% of the populationlive in poverty.

3. If your project really is about Guinea, then I do not envy you. Have a look to see what you can find in these websites, where knowledge of French will be useful. Otherwise try to find a Guinean national, and good luck.
