Horizontal lines has started to appear on the bottom quarter of my monitor. They go away eventually but are very irritating. The monitor is a Mitsubishi Diamond Pro 740SB. Any ideas what I need to do?

I think you're out of luck, unless you're under warranty. My Sony monitor developed these. Eventually more showed up; ultimately it was unusable. I had regular Sony CRTs for years, and they were great, but it seems to be specific to flatscreens (assuming that's what you've got). Not much you can do about it, I'm afraid, unless they'll take it back and exchange it.

Turn it 90 degrees and they will be gone. However you will still have vertcal lines on a quarter of the screen.

if it's an lcd it's going bad. Try checking connections, if that doesn't work then get a new one.
