To say "the world" is a vast generalization. Instead of saying the world you might as well just say men. When you generalize things it's as bad as pointing a finger at a group. The more you believe in stereotypes the more they'll continue to exist. Don't use stereotypes to defend stereotypes it's completely pathetic, ridiculous, and contradicting.

Most people who've had a mother or a female teacher, doctor has at some point acknowledged a women in power. Women are growing in politics. They are in every level in our society. "You say why is the world so against women?". Before you assume ask Is the world against women?

Life is all about how you play your cards. Your individual self and what you accomplish with it. Don't play the sex card for pity. It's selfish and unfair to those who make it in life within that group.

I'm 15 and I haven't encountered much sexism in my life so far. The main sexism I do see is little things that are so built into us that we barely notice them like laughing at a guy and saying he's girly because he does an activity that is usually considered a girly activity. I think that is the main problem in sexism. Some thing are just considered girly and some are manly and often that escalates into guys thinking we can't build decks or play hockey or anything they consider manly. Plus with girl starting to get equality with guys it's just plane scary to the guys who are used to looking down on us.

Egghead, no disrespect, really...but you can't use someone's "blog" to cite what are (ostensibly) "facts." The BLOGGER doesn't even bother to list her sources! How are we supposed to
take this seriously? This list is LUDICROUS!! And most of it, I would wager, is completely made up! Just looking over your list, a few things stick out as being egregiously biased, and lacking factual support. "Zero percent of girls were able to correctly answer basic math and physics questions"? PLEASE!! That is obviously COMPLETELY MADE UP, and how are you going to prove otherwise, with no supporting evidence? I DARE you to try to find that one in a legitimate source! And the one about (paraphrasing) "men being arrested more for drunk driving, when it's women who cause more crashes? Yes, that's true, more simple "fender-benders" are caused by women, but, statistically, more men cause FATALITIES. Surely if we were to quantify damage, and make arrests for non-alcohol related crashes, those that caused FATALITIES would be more worthy of arrest. And the statement is bogus anyway, because it's comparing men who drink and drive (illegal) to women who cause car crashes (NOT illegal). And then there's the one about incarceration. What does adultery have to do with being incarcerated? So we should incarcerate people for adultery, now? And 90,000 false rape allegations every year? Where'd THAT come from? Oh right, you don't know! You just like to post "facts" that have no scientific or statistical supporting evidence...because they're completely made up. I could go on ripping apart your list, but I just don't have that kind of time.

EDIT--Thanks for the added info Egghead--I happened to check out one of your listed sources, and found that your ENTIRE LIST, WORD FOR WORD, is pulled from it. Specifically, Chadwick and Heaton's "Statistical Handbook for the American Family." So I checked it out. It is also referred to as the "Christian Party Father's Manifesto"--nothing wrong with that, right? Except that this MAY be a group who may be motivated to falsify data to their own ends...and something seemed "off" about it all...so I investigated further...Not only is this a "Father's Manifesto" it is an ANTI-FEMALE, ANTI-BLACK, ANTI-JEWISH MANIFESTO! (and anyone else who can't describe themselves as Anglo-Saxon and male) As it states "We Anglo-Saxons are God's true chosen people and America should be ours." It refers to EINSTEIN as a "lying plagiarist JEW," supplies a "five minute poll on exiling blacks, where it describes 'repatriating the ni*****'", decries the Holocaust as a hoax, and seeks to REPEAL the 19th Amendment! The world may or may not be "against women" but this group has more than proved THEY ARE against women, AND every other minority! And while (as you mimic) they list VAGUE "sources" on their info, there is no real factual or statistical rigor employed, meaning your PRIMARY and SOLE source never REALLY lists actual sources or real, verifiable statistics. And the reason for this is because THERE ARE NO real, verifiable statistics to back up their claims! (From which you, and your "blogger" pull your entire list!). I couldn't have written a term paper like this for an entry level sociology or psych class in college and expect to get better than a D! Your source is nothing more than a WHITE SUPREMACIST Manifesto, akin to the KKK in it's ideology, that has EVERY REASON to obfuscate facts and OUTRIGHT LIE to support it's "position" for an ALL WHITE AMERICA, where women are relegated to the role of second class citizens, with NO VOTE, and no voice. So, anyway, why didn't you provide a link to your REAL source, instead of someone's bolg?
