Can someone please give me a detailed explanation of why they believe homosexuality is wrong. Please don't say things like "cause it's gross".

I have no idea other than pseudo-religious reasons why people are opposed to homosexuality.
Being in love is wonderful, and people should cherish their relationships.

well there is a lot of christians who would say that its wrong because god made adam and eve. not adam and steve. i personally love all gay people. my bros gay and my sister in law is a lesbien. i have no problem!! also look at history. our society was built around man and woman. look at the 50s. i mean what did history teach us about marriage?? men had to work and woman stayed at home with children. times changed and the woman wanted to work, go to school. it took a long time before people accepted women as individuals. and not just some baby carrying machine. people take women seriously now. 10 years ago homosexuality was a taboo subject now you see it everywhere but people still dont want to except it. you would think that after everything the world has gone thru, like martin luther king, the womans rights movement, you would think that the world would be more excepting but its not. because its a cruel world. everywhere we look we see hate. weither its a white man calling a black man the n word, or a straight man calling a gay man a f*g. u can only learn one thing from all this... and thats to just keep your head up high and dont let anyone bring you down. ya know what they say......keep your friends close and your enemies closer!!

I think a lot of people think it is wrong because of ignorance. The media does not help either. Or religion can make them think that way, or even worse those messed up politicians that continue to fight against gay marriage. I believe God loves everyone and everyone is meant to be the way He created them. People who are homosexual (or bi-sexual) don't just wake up one day and "choose" their sexual orientation. They were born that way (as are heterosexuals) and there is nothing wrong with it. Why can't people see that??

"Black Asian" gave the best example today...PURE, BLIND IGNORANCE!
His psuedo-religious views, lack of understanding, lack of facts shows us why fighting homophobia (or rather heterosexism) is so hard.
First reason is that people are generally lazy!
They don't bother to do the research, they simply follow what everyone else does. If it's their preacher, politicians, teachers, parents or friends, they'll simply follow along like little lemmings.
Secondly; religions are very hard to fight in their heterosexism because no matter what reason, rationale or scientific fact you give them to show them how wrong they are, they'll simply manipulate some ancient book of fairy tales to suit their purpose. They use fear, lies and even make it up as they go along. They then take that fear and use it to intimidate people to keep them following along blindly, never questioning the outside world, never using the brains their supposed God gave them to think for themselves!
These people have been abused by their religious leaders for so long that they willingly give up their free will, their paychecks, their children's educations, just so they don't "go to hell" or worse.
How can anyone compete with these incidious institutions of fear and intimidation?

I don't disapprove homosexuality. I am not really sure, but I have a feeling that is because I am homosexual. I'll check with my therapist and I'll let you know.
Do we really need a 'laundry list' of this type? I would be more interested in a list of reasons why heterosexuality is wrong.
Somebody please stop me !

Homosexual is like an uncure disease. Are u serious? You're asking why we disapprove of homosexuality? Do you really want to see two guys kissing each other? Homosexuality is abomination. gay people go against their own conscience, society, nature, and God.

No. there isn't any tale contained in the Gospels the position the Jesus personality says he disapproves of homosexuality. there isn't any verse contained in the hot testomony that asserts homosexuality is incorrect.

as demonstrated so many times by the "haters" who troll this pages....it seems it's due mostly to fear and ignorance. people are a lot of the time afraid of things they don't understand. and a lot of them have been raised by bigots and taught to hate (hatred is a LEARNED behavior!). most of them demonstrate their ignorance and stupidity with poor spelling, poor grammar, and the inability to provide any valid facts what so ever to support their "claims." and they seem too lazy to bother to educate themselves or even bother to get to know us before they pass blanket judgment. that's just completely stupid!
