I don't know what you mean by 'in anger'. His accident occurred while filming his TV show, and as he is reported to be returning to the show, I would imagine he will be driving again. For what it's worth, I think it should be seen as a positive and inspirational overcoming of a life-threatening accident rather than something negative.

He was on the Jonathan Ross TV show tonight (Friday 22nd Dec) and he apparently said he is looking at filming some kind of race or car stunt up in the arctic for the next series of Top Gear. I didn't catch the show myself, but most of the newspapers today ran stories on his remarkable recovery rate. Apparently he has bee out driving in his Subaru 4x4 to fetch the newspaper in the morning.
Go Hammond! Dude's a hero!

I don't think the poor old Hamster will ever get behind the wheel again. (This is not meant as a joke). It's not really safe for him to drive, given the severity of his injuries.

the guy will drive again he takes risk and clearing doesnt care about speeding and the result thats after like whats happened to him,
look at the crocdile hunter man, he did get bit by the animals he chased after until death does them , they people who play with death, and know that anytime there will die only ,leaving the families angry

I believe he has driven on the roads. If he was off for less than 3 months and the docs give him the OK no problem
