How can I get those games back. Solitaire, Pinball, etc.

Go to start menu, select control panel.

In the control panel select add / remove programs.

In the add remove programs dialogue, select the add / remove windows components icon on the left hand side (3rd one down).

In the windows components pop up window, highligh accessories and utilities. Press the Details button.

In the window that appears but a check in the box next to the pack of cards icon labelled games.

Click OK, the window will close.

Now click Next, the configuring components dialogue will come up with a progress bar, it may ask you to insert your windows CD at this point to copy the required files.

It will then say you have successfully complete the windows components Wizard.

Click on Finish and then close the control panel.

You should now have your games back on the start menu in the Games folder.

How is this possible?

Anyway, click start, go to search, type in solitare or minesweeper (blahblahblah). It'll dig 'em up for you.
