It means
Saved $ = 500 + 1500 x N where N is the increment.
It means that the saving starts with a fixed amount of 500 and incremented by 1500 at each interval.
Or it shows the sum of balance from prvious year plus the year increment. Assumes a starting balance of 500
( 500+1500)= 500 starting year
( 500+1500)= 2000
(2000+1500)= 3500
(3500+1500)= 5000, and
(5000+1500)= 6500

If the slope is 750, then the increment is recorded (or given) only when two inrements are due.
