What is the safest road route from Durban into eastern Zimbabwe, how long would it take, allowing for stops?

We will leave Durban in early July and head for Chimanimani. We want to visit Great Zimbabwe and perhaps stay overnight in or near Masvingo. Vehicle is 2L 4X4.

good roads in S.A. narow roads in ZIM'
FOR THIS TYPE OF TRIP YOU DO NOT NEED 4X4
try not to sleep in ZIM as they are charching in $US. or they force you to change money in the bank for 1/10 of what it worth

No road cause youll be drivning with out tyres once you enter ZIM
