If it will show the video on your screen but wont "capture" it, I would say that the problem is that your memory is set on "simm" and needs to be set on 'phone" or "both".
I dont have my manual with me. I have seen this setting but cannot seem to locate it right now. I think the problem is in memory.

i've had that model, didn't give me problems... u might want to tr to restore your defailt settings (be careful cause you have to choose reset settings/ not reset phone) mmm that should do it..if it doesn;t then u might want to take it to the company
