It is possible to have your period and be pregnant. What you could very well think is your period could be spotting due to the embryo implanting in the uterine wall. This occurs a few days after fertilization happens. Also, bleeding could be a sign of a problem with a pregnancy. If you are having severe pain, you should see a doctor asap because this coul be a sign of an ectopic pregnancy (where the embryo implants in the fallopian tube, not the uterus). This is a problem that needs to be solved right away due to many issues it can cause both now and later. Many women report getting a “period” in the early stages of pregnancy. My advice would be go take a pregnancy test even if you think that you’re having your period (especially if you missed a birth control dose, the condom broke, you weren’t on birth control, or you feel very differnt from how you usually feel when you are getting your period) or go talk to your doctor about getting a pregnancy test don at the clinic. On the other hand, the bleeding could actually be your period, not a pregnancy. Good luck.
