The orginal was a fantastic concept. It freaks people out like Jaws where people didnt want to go in the water, Pycho where no one wanted to go into the shower and then Nightmare where no one wanted to go to sleep. To bad later chapters turned it into a joke.

I would have to go with Nightmare on Elm Street 4. Not because it will win any academy awards anytime soon but that was the one I watched most as a kid.

The original and Dream Warriors were the best.
The Dream Child was good because finally a girl kicked butt and didn't let Freddy get the best of her.

oh the Dream warriors of course. It had the major players in it, introduced kristen and hypnocil. It was way more explanatory than the first two, showing how freddy was making the murders legit in reality.
