-Sit in front of a warm-mist humidifier for awhile
-Use saline nose drops to clear her nose
-Suction her nose out before feedings and before bedtime
-Elevate her head so her sinuses can properly drain (this will also help with her cough)

Put the baby in a car seat or somewhere you know she is safe. Put her outside the bathroom door, leave the door open. Take a nice hot shower. The sound of the shower will drown out some of the crying and you won't believe how much better you'll feel. She'll be safe and you will hear if the crying changes and she needs immediate attention. That's what I used to do. As long as the baby is in a safe place there is no reason you can't take five minutes to get yourself back under control when your frustrated. Good luck, it can be a tough road.

You really cant give a little child anything that is over the counter. You could just take her to the doctor or to the ER. Since your home is so hot and dry you need to keep a vapor machine around your child when she sleeps or even when she is awake.
It keeps moisture in the air and its really good for her if she is having all of these symptoms.
My daughter is 4 and she has the same simptoms and i took her to her doctor and she is in the early stages of bonchitis.
Take that baby to the doctor!!!!

if your baby has difficulty breathing, put the baby in the shower full blast to get some steam. Vicks is good also even though its says not to use for young chidrends. 3 times a day, you have to put some drops of saline water room temperature. (boil some water for ten minutes and add salt to it.) You can use a Tylenol, tempra stick to shout it in baby's nostril. It desinfect the nose and helps to get better. The baby most be 30 degrees elevated to help him with the breathing. Tylenol every four hours.
If baby as fever... you have to go to the hospital
Good luck

A doctor told me before to alternate tylenol and motrin. Every four hours if a fever is involved and every 5 if not. The temp should stay about 70-75 so that it is not too hot or too cold. I was told that too hot can cause a fever and too cold would keep them sick. make sure they have plenty of liquids especially if they are not eating. Good Luck!

Nope... I think you need to take your child to the doctor. If it isn't going away there could be some other problem.
Take them to the doctor now, you will be sorry if you the baby ends up in the hospital.
In September my 2 yr old daughter was admitted into the hospital from what started as a cold and then escalated into bronchitis.
She was in there for 3 1/2 days. It was not fun... Poor girl felt so bad... She had to sit, sleep, and eat in an oxygen tent. I felt like it was never going to end.

Try a Vicks Vaporizer in an enclosed area - it's non medicated, but it helps clear out her congestion. You might want to also have the house checked for mold and mildew, it can create cold like symptoms or magnify existing cold symptoms.

Oh I cant remember the name of this product - but its made from Aloe Vera gel and saline...its a gel, you can just wipe it under a babies nose and it helps to clear it (easier than nosedrops, same effect) I am postpartum doula and recently used it on a week old infant. Baby needs extra fluids right now as well, and fresh air wont hurt either! Colds happen....

Yep. Depends upon how long this has been going on. I would say take her to the doctor and she will be taken care of on a serious basis which will not take as long, may be better for her if she indeed does have a cold, and you will rest better knowing she is in good care.

take your daughter to the pediatrician right away - do not give her any type of cold medication (or any over the counter medication) without seeing her doctor!! get a cool mist humidifier or mister for her bedroom and any other room she spends a lot of time in.
