make it worth their time offer them something in return. It is like that in all advertisments TV, radio, ect.. they offer the shows and songs as trade for listening to them.

Your question is very basic, you give no particulars about what you have for sale, your location, your method of selling, features, benefits, etc. If you want people to come to your place of bu siness you have to get the word to them that you are in busines and what you are in business for. It sounds that maybe you are in a call center and have to try to convince people to make an "appointment" to listen to a sales counsel our who will tell them about a great way to spend a vacation, buy a time share, purchase Cd's from Time/Life, etc., and you are having trouble getting them to commit. With the attitude of today's consumer towards telemarketing and scams it is tough to get people to come in and listen to your pitch especially with the Internet so handy whereas they can listen to the pitch in the comfort of their home. My advice is to have a product that is needed and wanted by the public, has a good basic foundation and guarantee, and is not perceived as a bait or switch type of situation. If you have something of value to offer to the public then advertise its benefits, let them know how it will help enrich their life's and let them know the "price" that they have to pay to get this fabulous product. Be honest and you will do well, lie to the customer and you will get caught and lose in the long run.

To get people there is not hard but you want them to buy don't you??
If your having trouble getting them there to listen what are you trying to sell them??
It may be time to look at some thing else.
If its mlm or herbalife or similar you will have trouble!!

Free stuff, valuable stuff, given away after the presentation. With a locked room of course, so people can't just walk in afterwards and get good stuff without looking at the presenation.
