As long as that's not the main gift it's great---you're saying "I'm attracted to you, let's get it on, baby". But basically it's an indirect solicitation for nookie---which would, I hope--be construed as a good gift. You know---you could "stuff her stocking" with it. Pun intended. What would be cool is if you bought it for her and brought it home one night as a little surprise...outside of the whole Xmas thing--just a thought. .

I think it's a little selfish...unless it's only the secondary gift. Get something just for her, and then toss in some lingerie. But really, I prefer to buy it myself and surprise him with it when he leasts expects it.

Make sure you get the correct size, and something other than just the lingerie. No, not a selfish gift at all. God bless****

It depends on what kind of girlfriend you have. Some like to wear that kind of stuff all of the time, not just for the guy. But some (like me) only like to wear it for that special time. I think that it is a gift that will bring you closer together-if you know what I mean!!

For someone who is comfortable with wearing these things and is comfortable with her body, lingerie is certainly not a selfish gift! Girls tend to love dressing up, even if it's in that way... and it's even better when someone else buys it!

I think as long as it's your wife and no other female then I say it's ok to give her those type of gifts. I won't mind if my husband did that but don't give it to any other female out there just your wife since those are very personal and some won't like that.

I would tend to think it's more of a gift for men. That's just me, though. I know my fiance has brought that up as a X-mas gift for me and I was really offended. That's something I would get HIM, not the other way around. You could always put it on your X-mas list for your honey, though...

Yes. It is a selfish gift. But then, if it's from someone you want to have sex with, it could be ok. Not from strangers or men you just started dating, however. I think it would be ok from a husband. But that is it.

Yup. I had a bf that pretty much bought me everything in Victoria's Secret. Honestly I saw that as a gift for him. He didn't buy them so I can enjoy them he bought them so he can enjoy looking at me in them. When we broke up he said I hope your not going to wear MY panties for other guys. Now you tell me who the panties were for.

It's like when fred flinstone gave his wife a bowling ball custom fit for him. LOL
seriously though, some women really love lingerie, and it's one of the standard things like flowers, so I wouldn't sweat it.
