Unless you're going to be working in a little closed space with others, I say apply as much as you see fit, who cares if someone else thinks you wear too much? To each their own, ya know? I apply my fragrances quite liberally & often :o) Most people probably think I wear too much, but I don't care, I do what makes ME happy :o)
