Ranch dressing? That depends, how long has it been sitting out? As far as I know, there are no salad dressings on the NO list for preganancy, so rest assured that as long as you're okay with eating them (oils can make your tummy sad!) then eat up! Get those 2700 calories a day and lots of vitamins and healthy stuff!

The foods to watch out for (check out sites like Baby Center) include deli meats, foreign soft cheeses, and homemade eggnog. Things like this that have a higher possibility of containing bacteria. Watch out, also, for "carving stations" and try to be first into the turkey/ham during the holidays. Once people start picking at them with their hands, then you get hands off.

I hope I've been of some assistance. Good luck and enjoy your leafy greens and ranch!

I think most should be okay. I never heard of salad dressing being not safe to eat... I ate ranch with my salads all the time during pregnancy. Crackers, life savers (sucking on them helped my nausea), were helpful during the time I was nauseous.

Goodluck and congrats!

As an OB nurse I must tell you to consult your OB or midwife with any questions concerning anything about your pregnancy. That's what you pay them for and they are happy to answer your questions. I think you mean some other type of dressing. Ranch is buttermilk and mayo, and safe to eat as long as it's refrigerated after opening.

The ONLY salad dressing I was told to stay away from was Bleu Cheese. You can Ranch away!

When I was pregnant, I hate all kinds of dressings and the doc said that it was fine.
What really helped me to go through my stomach aches and pain was water melon.

As far as I know it's all ok to eat. There should be no ingredients that need to be avoided in any of them.
