What type of 'product' are you getting? I'm asking because in Europe the electrical current coming out of outlets is ~220-240 VAC at 50Hz, whereas in North America it's ~115-125 VAC at 60Hz. Now your air-conditioning, dryer and electric stove (for example) operate on ~230-250 VAC at 60Hz.

Also since the electrical frequency in North America (60 Hz) is faster than that in Europe (50 Hz) motorized products will run faster even if you use recommended voltage.

Barring that, contact an industrial tool rental company for your generator. They will have everything from delta and y wired systems so your voltages can go through 120, 208, 240, 277 and 430 3-phase. There are also 3-phase emulators that take 120 VAC and convert it to full 3-phase though I'm not a very big fan of these.
