I would put it in the bank until you think of something, so you don't spent it on something as dull as gas

Treat it as a bonus...here's some thoughts:
- treat yourself to a massage
- a nice dinner with someone special?
- manicure, pedicure
- put it into a RSP so it can make some $$ for you & a tax write off!!
- new pair of shoes?
- buy a bunch of toys & take them to your local shelter on Xmas & watch the less fortunate kids smile & by happy for a day

**whatever you do don't use it on bills or groceries unless you REALLY need to. I used to have to use by bonus for everyday stuff and I was always diappointed later that I didn't do anything "fun" with my free money. We all work hard during the year and its great when our employers reward us & we should reward ourselves for a job well done!

WOO HOO isn't that a cool feeling when Christmas bonus's come in...
We do not even look forward to it, this way we are not disappointed.
Our was double this and wow it sure came in at a GREAT time! We were doing the jig lol!
Ours is going to TAX's (and then some). Much needed bill that needs paid.
Go out and have yourself a blast of a time..... :0)

Good idea - but a better one is to put it in the bank until after April 15th just in case you wind up owing more taxes because of this bonus. You didn't think your employer would forget to put it on your W-2, did you?

Depends what you're into, if you're a shopping-type gal, you could treat yourself to some nice clothes/accessories. Or maybe a day at the spa. Something that you usually wouldn't splurge on.

Speaking as someone who is 48 years old, and has all the "stuff" she needs, I would recommend taking a friend out to a wonderful dinner between Christmas and New Year's.

Give it to the local "Toys for Tots" campaign. It'll buy Christmas presents for some kids who otherwise would not get anything. (And you can just imagine how much kids APPRECIATE one or two little small gifts, when that's the only thing they get.)
Good luck, and Happy Holidays!

Save it for a rainy day, then go and have a full day of massages, saunas, facials, make-up, new hairdo. Ok pick as many as you can. Remember this is FUN money.
