It has to be a game that you saw in person. It doesn't have to be a game that had playoff implications or even be a postseason game.

For me, it's a toss up between the Montreal Expos-Toronto Blue Jays game on July 1st, 1997. Jeff Juden (oh my, where are they now) took a no-no into the 8th inning and beat Clemens in front of 50,000+ on Canada Day. The other game was Game 3 of the ALDS between the Yankees and A's in 2001, when Jeremy Giambi was called out at home because that bleeping Jeter relayed to Posada...

1985- Pirates @ Mets- happens to be Strawberry Sunday, where the team gave out ice cream sundaes. Of all things, Strawberry hits a grand slam in the first inning. 18- yes you read that right- innings later they win it 5-4.

Anyone who remembers Rusty Staub at the end of his career would get a kick out of this... they wound up actually playing him in the field bc of a double switch. During an inning, they would switch him between LF and RF depending on the hitter (moved him to where the ball would least likely be put into play). He actually had to run a foul ball down against the stands... playing in right center... and caught it. Funniest live action "slow-mo" catch you could ever watch.

Was a day game in April and brought warm weather clothing. The sun set in the later innings, by the time the game ended we were freezing.

1985 World Series Game 7. My dad and I were season ticket holders to the Royals. After Game 6's infamous "Don Denkinger" blown call at first, the Royals went on to win Game 7 in a rout 11-0 behind brilliant pitching by a 20-year-old Bret Saberhagen. To say that I attended a Game 7 with my dad just makes it even more special.

I've been to a lot of games in my life but the one that sticks out in my head is one in the late 70's.The Cardinals were playing the Astros the game went back and forth until finally the Redbirds tied it up in the bottom of the ninth,it went to the 10,11,12 and finally the 13th inning, the Astros scored 3 runs in the top of the 13th,well everybody that I was with wanted to leave but I stood firm and said I never leave until the game is over, well the Cards loaded the bases and here walks in Rodger Freed,OK bases loaded,2 out,full-count,And BAM WAY BACK it could be,it might be,it is a grand slam
to Win the game. And Guess what I caught the Home-Run Ball that won the game.

1996 World Series, Game 4, Atlanta, GA, Yankees vs. Braves.

The Braves Mike Bieliecki (sp) was cruising against the Yankees, and manager Bobby Cox decided to switch him out for Mark Wohlers, to face catcher Jim Leylritz. Leyritz crushed a 3-run homer to put the Yanks ahead for good. He also changed the momentum for good to the Yankees' side, and in essence, ruin Wohlers' career. He never, ever shook off that pitch.

You could hear scattered cheers in the crowd for the Yanks, but by and large, you've never heard 60,000 people as quiet as after that home run.

July 1,2004 Yankee Stadium vs.Red Sox. Starting pitchers:Brad Halsey and Pedro Martinez. The game went 12 or 13 innings. It was a see-saw ride all the way. The crowd was nuts. Fans fighting with one another and being ejected left and right. Security and police presence was really strong. I went with my husband, brother and sister-in-law. My brother wound up in a fight with a Red Sox fan while coming back with a beer (beer is always involved) My husband went to assist him. My brother, husband,Red Sox fan and his dad were all thrown out. The cops then came and tossed my sister-in-law and myself (we were not involved and minding our own business) out as well. We wound up re-entering the stands (better seats). My brother (again) who was wearing a shirt that said "Boston Sucks" was asked by an attendent to turn it inside out. My brother pretty much told her to F-off and we were kicked out again! That's 2X in one game. We did move over and see the end of a game that had a playoff feel to it. New York won by the way. I think the score was 4-3. John Flaherty hit in the go ahead run. To this day,my sister-in-law will not attend baseball games with my brother!

I have three that are notable to me:

1. The Cardinals NLDS clinching game this past season on their way to being World Series champs
2. Steroid issue aside, the game in which Mark McGwire hit #66 and #67
3. First game in old Busch Stadium as a kid

The best baseball game I ever went to was a football game between the Eagles and Cardinals.

The second best baseball game I ever went to was game 3 of the 1998 world series when the Yankees thrashed the Padres in 4 games. We paid $135 per ticket to sit in the very last row at the very top of Qualcomm Stadium. We could barely make out the players on the field and watched most of the game on the jumbotron.

the 2d to very last recreation at Shea, the Johan CG close Out. One hell of a recreation there. i replaced into sitting 2 rows above the toddler he gave the SO ball to. 2d well known often is the Mets Yanks recreation from many years decrease back. i do not save in options who replaced into pitching yet i understand Mike Piazza hit a HR and that i stuck it. My first recreation is up there too. John Olerud hit 2 HRs and that i stuck one. I were given very fortunate as a baby. No success considering.
