I am interested mainly in the opinions of foreigners, especially the Brits. On the whole, would you be proud to be an American (as I am)?

I think that the proof of the pudding is in the eating. Much as I love England, America is the only nation on earth that people risk their lives to sneak INTO. They're also the first ones called on for help, especially by those who ordinarily bash them (does that shoe fit just right, France?)

I'm a Brit who has lived in the US for the past 16 years. I see the US economy constantly declining and think that it will have fallen flat in about 10 years. I'd rather be in Britain... too bad the jobs pay better here. I can't say that I'm proud to be an American; I still have my EU passport.. :)

All the more obvious political issues aside, I really wish there was a solution to the whole racism and intolerance epidemic because my kids wouldn't be old enough to understand things like the Iraq war or the issues with the economy but sadly racist bigots will be something they have to deal with from youth into adulthood.

Ignorant,Arogant, proud,ignorant,uncompromising,commercialised,selfish,violent,controling, immoral...Etc(from what i see) These opinions are formed on the basis of americas observed attitudes towards foreign countries and foreign policy.I dont believe all of them to be true.I think that to form an opinion about all americans based on the governments actiöns is a testament to your own ignorance

I'm proud to be an America who excepts life as it unfolds and doesn't surround myself under the influence of Americans who make this country look bad. Many people across the world call us America the Satan, but there are people here who are do not live up to that title!
