I was just wondering...You always hear about the dreaded family christmas or get togethers....My family is REALLY small...so everyone gets along...and we only see each other a couple times a year..so I love going to see them. Just wondering if anyone REALLY doesnt like to go see the family or if it is just one of those things you say. thanks

no. its so dumb.. the only reason people like to say that is they want more dramma added to thier lives, and they love to think the "inlaws" are so horrible, because they get it all from a movie or something and its so stupid.. ugh i hate people who do that..

I haven't seen my family for ANY holiday in decades. I got tired of the fistfights, screaming, bickering, child abuse, tearful outbursts, violence, drama and nonsense. The get-togethers used to be hard...until I boycotted them. I don't regret it for one second. I'm a peace-loving person, and enjoy spending my holidays with sane, rational people.

"ARE Christmas get together's really that hard?"

Obviously it's easy for you. Not everyone gets along peachy with their families.

For some families it is, especially if one family
member dislikes another.
