Basically, life coaches are non-credentialed therapists who take an active, hands-on approach to helping people with relationship, career, family, and finance issues. Many life coach regimens involve weekly meetings, journal-writing "homework," defining goals through "life blueprints," and bullet-pointed progress updates.

Someone who pays attention to everything you say during an initial interview and then adopts your desired perspective on your life. A life coach can significantly impact your life. Imagine if you did all those things you wanted to do, acquired the skills you want, kept a proper point of view, kept to your life schedule, well, that is only part of what a life coach does. A life coach will also keep you real, no more made up stories about what happened or what might happen, no drama, no what ifs....I would say 90% of the population is a pain in the butt because they get mired down in drama and what ifs and probablys and on and on....

Coaching is an on-going partnership that helps clients produce fulfilling results in their personal and professional lives. Through the process of coaching, clients deepen their learning, improve their performance, and enhance their quality of life. Beginning with the clients' desires, coaching uses reporting, exploring, and a consistent commitment to move the client forward. Coaching accelerates the clients' progress by providing greater focus and awareness of choice. Coaching concentrates on where clients are today and what they are willing to do to get where they want to be tomorrow.

A Life Coach usually works with you over the phone, often in weekly sessions, to partner with you in identifying what you want, finding your innermost values and goals, encouraging you to take action, and helping you achieve success. (Success to us, at its foundation, means being your best, most authentic self, living with integrity, doing work/activities that you love, health, financial freedom, happiness and loving relationships.) Whether you want help achieving a specific goal, finding a career direction, or buffing up your whole life, a Life Coach can help you get there faster.

Someone who coaches you to help you meet your life goals. It's sort of like a very specialized therapist.
On a side note, though, isn't it funny that humans have gone so long being able to run their own lives but now we have life coaches, professional organizers, feng shui experts and the like to tell us what to do?
