i push the ON (the weird circle with the line in it) button, and the whole LOADING thing comes on, but the screen just freezes at 'welcome' (i have windows). then. this message pops up that says "cannot 'read' from memory." and then it says click on OK to terminate the program, and cancel to debug it. whichever button you click, the screen immediately turns blue and it says
c000021a {Fatal System Error}
Windows Logon Process System process terminated unexpectedly with a status: cxc0000005 (0x00000000 0x00000000000)
the system has been shut down.

I would like to think its a problem with your RAM, do you happen to have more then 1 stick? If so try them one at a time in the proper bank. Reason why I say I dont think is because your POST should test the memory.. Try using last know good configuration in the advanced options menu, press f8 repeatedly after starting system up. Try going into safe mode if last known doesnt work and check the event log in computer management.. Try taking out hardware one at a time during each boot up to see if its a conflict with any of it..

Try enrolling it in RADA.

This is the real reason why Bill Gates has moved totally into philanthropy.
The only remedy is an 'applause' patch which shouts 'encore' at the computer on the hour every hour for six months.

Your hard drive may be cooked. Try to just boot it with the CD or floppy and see if you get the same message.
