Kay. Come on. Think for a second. Why the HELL wouldn't a scented candle be okay as a christmas gift for ANYONE regardless of what gender they are attracted to????

A mature gay man once told me that scented candles were always a good choice for a gift, so yes.

Would you be asking this question if he wasn't gay? If you didn't know he was gay, what would you buy him? That is probably the right gift. If you would still get him the scented candle, then it's a good gift idea.

OMG does that mean gifts now come in "gay" and "Straight" flavors? ??

Dang I better rethink my shopping lists!! I've got a lot of returns to make!!!

Seriously, um, gifts don't come in gay or straight. They're supposed to reflect the person to whom you give them to. Just because your coworker is gay doesn't mean they even like candles let alone scented ones. Some people are sensitive to highly scented things. I'd go for something a bit less suggestive.
Like a picture frame.

Obviously. Scented candles have nothing to do with being gay or straight. They're just candles!

Don't give it to a coworker if he's gay. Give it to a coworker if you want to give him something and you think he'd enjoy it. Scented candles are too nice to suddenly be considered a gay present.

I think scented candles are a tacky and cheap gift, no matter what your sexual orientation. And what does being gay have to do with getting a gift for your co-worker? A $10 Starbucks gift card is appropriate for a co-worker.

scented candles are a great gift for most people (except straight men, of course). but you usually can't go wrong with them.

you could also try getting him something from bath and body works. like a lotion or something. gay men love anything that smells good. also, you can never go wrong with a gift certificate. perhaps to a spa or something?

good luck with your gift hunting =)

Definitely...Pottery Barn has a Gay-Candle section WAY in the BACK. But you have to ask at the register, because without your Gay Card, you won't be able to get in unattended.
