Just to to Virgin Mobile web site - they explain it pretty well.

I bought a $25 phone from them and three months of service f(I use minimal amount of minutes so I can't remember what it is minute-wise) for $25. You can do it all on the website. They gave me an extra $20 credit b/c I bought the $25 phone from them. I signed up for automatic top-up, where they add $25 of minutes every three months or if my balance gets lower than $5. This just happened and they rang my phone to get my confirmation this was okay. This is a lot easier and cheaper than my Cingular service was, no bills to pay or anything. I love it.

likely the reason that she needs to get you a pay as you go telephone is because a pay as you go telephone strictly limits the style of minutes U can use. After U use your minutes U can in effortless words purchase more beneficial, or U can't receiver o make calls. in this way your mom will reduce your calls. the bigger block of minutes U purchase, the more interior your budget the minutes and the longer that they very last.(some phones minutes expire in any such vast quantity of days or months. That likely isn't a difficulty with you. ) I replaced to a pay as you go plan. that is for human beings that do not use their telephone that a lot i receives about 2400 minutes in line with month for type of $20 instead of the 1200 minutes for $25 after I had a month-to-month plan. in spite of the undeniable fact that it extremely is all depending upon paying for a $one hundred card for $one hundred and 5(taxes of $5) for 1000 minutes sturdy for a twelve months and already having the phone from T-cellular after I had a month-to-month plan.

you can go to a convenience store and buy a certain amount of minutes. when you've used them all, you go and buy more... ergo PRE-PAID
