I can tell you the very moment, since you seem so curious. When I was living and going to school in Chicago, there was once a cold and snowy night. The flakes were large and beautiful. Snow streamed down on Michigan Avenue more beautifully than any other snow I'd ever seen. My heart was happy. I was wearing an antique black Chesterfield coat I'd found in the attic of the place I was rooming and felt very "dapper" in it.
I was walking down the sidewalk enjoying the crisp snow in the bright streetlights of Wabash Avenue when I saw a gentleman I'd seen a few times before. I always happened to notice him because he had the most beautiful thick silver (not gray) hair. I was living in a very elite neighborhood, not because I could afford it, but because I was a student working for the mansion I was living in while going to school. I was about 20 years old. This older gentleman was alluring and completely suave.
He was walking across the street in the opposite direction and must have noticed me staring at him. I've no doubt that I was. He stopped walking and smiled slightly. I smiled slightly back. Then he came across the street to where I was.
He admired the antique long formal coat I was wearing and said he hadn't seen one in a long time. I told him looked very nice too. I capped it off with a raised eyebrow to let him know that I wasn't completely talking about his coat.
The spark and feeling between us was obvious and I knew he was no one to be afraid of.
Long story short... We went to the second story of a coach house that was part of the mansion property I was living in. There was no heat and it hadn't been used for many many years. We kissed and hugged and the magic began.
I spread the old black Chesterfield coat on the floor of one of the rooms and even naked, we kept each other warm in the way that once in a lifetime acquaintances do. After we both were completely satisfied and glistening with the perspiration that comes with absolute perfect intimacy, we started to feel the chill of that 30 degree room.
We got up and dressed and kissed while hugging tightly. I knew I'd probably never see him again. That was alright though because it is a very treasured memory of over 25 years ago that I will cherish to my grave.
