I'll be with my in-laws. I adore most of them...except for my mother in law who is a dreadful old bat who threatens my mental well being. I try not to take her remarks personally, she's an equal opportunity harrasser, but that's easier said than done, isn't it? Whenever we're together, especially when her friends are around, I'm "that woman who married (her) son."

But my kids love her dearly and she's my husband's mom...and I adore my FIL and the rest of the family. Besides, I keep reminding myself during those really difficult times: "you're going to get to choose her nursing home...you're going to get to choose her nursing home..." :-)

All the season's best to you and yours....

Well Christmas Eve my husband and I will spend it will my family, for dinner. Then we will spend Christmas morning together, and then Christmas night we will spend it with his family. Should be a good time. Family is what makes the holidays.

Merry Christmas, Mitch. I will be spending the first half of the day with my mum. I will spend the afternoon at work. Lucky me, but at least I get time and a half for that day.

I'll be with my spouse and this couple we often spend time with. I concluded several decades ago that spending the holidays with family was a major waste of time. Who wants all that fighting and strife? I'd rather have a peaceful holiday season.

I don't have anyone special in my life so I'll be spending Christmas Day with my family.

You two enjoy your first Christmas. Many more!
