How do I repair a rip in the back of a leather couch?

I've seen repair kits in Home depot I think, maybe it was Target, I forget but they use some kind of glue to repair rips. The ones I've seen even had a brown and a black mini-marker to help conceal the repair. I've never tried it myself so I couldn't say if they really work or not.

There's always the good old strip of duct tape waiting to bale you out.
