i dont know if the baby has dropped or not, and i have not lost my mucus plug. i know that sex is said to help ripen and dialate the cervix, but how much sex? its a silly question, but ive had
'false labor' atleast 6 times now in the past week and a half and my doctor wont think of inducing me until after 42 weeks so i am trying to help things along but sex seems to help start something it just never sticks!

Many women do not lose their mucous plug at one time; instead, they lose it more gradually. They may notice an increase in vaginal secretions weeks before they go into labor.
Some women will lose their mucous plug or part of their mucous plug weeks before they go into labor. Losing your mucous plug does not always mean labor will begin shortly. Keep in mind that even if a woman has begun to dilate, it may be weeks before she actually goes into labor.
Sex could trigger labour but doesn't always work all depends if your cervix and your body is ready!!
Sex could help so keep at it, labour will come eventually!
Good luck and congrats on the pregnancy

Sex can cause you to loose your plug. Also try nipple stimulation it brings on contractions. Walking is another good way to get labor started so maybe sex with nipple stimulation then a shower let the water run on your nipples then go for a walk around the block a few times.

It will happen when it happens. They say that sex helps. You may not even notice passing your plug anyhow. What I did was mixed tsp of caster oil in a 20oz aw root beer. My water broke after that, so I don't think it worked, but who knows.
Good luck and I know, the last few days are excruciating. Icouldn't wait to tie my own shoes again.

You usually go into labor within 2 wks of losing your mucus plug. Sex it up. Have fun. Remember you'll be going 6 wks without. (not only you but him too) Do lost of walking. I power walked for 2 miles and my water broke about an hr later. I thought I was going to die but I did it.

My doctor told me that it isn't the act of sex itself, but the orgasm that ensues. The contractions taht are casued by orgasms helps to bring about labor, as does the rush of horomones. The jarring effect may help to loosen the mucus plug. My sister didn;t lose her until the day before my nephew was born.

I never lost my mucus plug until the day I had my kids. I had sex and then went and got into the hot tub or hot bath, (Not too hot though) It sent me into labor. But I wouldn't rush it, the baby will be here soon enough!! Congrats and have fun!!!

Walk and have sex. I made the mistake of taking castor oil the first time to go into labor-sex and walking helped the second time.

It took two times before anything happened with me. Take a nice long romantic walk and come home and be very passionate about it. It is not just the act that helps it is the stimulation.

in the adventure that they checked your cervix on the well being midsection then that could be why you're recognizing. it is got here about to me earlier after an exam. As for the soreness, for me with my very last baby i began feeling soreness in my pelvic area round 36 weeks. It felt like a stabbing soreness that got here and went rather right away... customarily at the same time as i'd upward push up or get off the mattress. My midwife stated it develop into because the toddler develop into reducing into my pelvis. also, you're 3 days faraway from being seen finished time period so your body is making waiting for the toddler to come back. so that you'll adventure some unusual twinges of soreness each and every once and awhile. it extremely is universal. yet I nevertheless propose calling your known practitioner or midwife if you're rather worried.
