I would talk to your vet about food allergies. They can give you an idea of what to do with her. It sounds like she has some form of food allergies but until you talk to your vet and possibly do a food trial, you probably wont know what food she is allergic to. A food trial can be kind of expensive but well worth it if you know what she is allergic to. We usually had them put the dog on z/d food until the signs (chewing feet, full anal glands) went away. Then give them a food with beef as the main ingredient and see if the signs come back. If no signs, then she isnt allergic to beef, if she has signs again, then she is allergic to beef. Then you put them on z/d again until signs are gone, then pick another food to test. It can take a while for the signs to go away, but are usually pretty quick to return. Good luck and if you have any more questions email me.

my dog used to do that because of allergies to grains ect....dogs have an extremely hard time digesting grains. try switching to a diet where grain rice or corn is not one of the first ingredients! My dog no longer chews and the rash she would get on her stomach has cleared up

This is a common first sign of one kind of mange. It is treatable but you need a prescription from a vet. It can also be an infection. Try a shampoo containing an antifungal, or soak his feet in a dilute Betadine solution (Get at a pharmacy, over the counter)

going off what everyone else has said so far: try checking w/ your vet, you could probably just call one and talk to someone first, do what they say. also, we give my dog soup bones to chew on. i dont kno how big your dog is, but they work well for my large-ish sized dog. distraction works, like bones/ a place where they are allowed to dig/ fast and long walks

Our dog does that too. He probably has allergies to his food. A lot of dogs are allergic to beef and lamb.

I agree with the food trial that vet tech told you about..but it can also be ocd type behaviour. animals get that too. if nothing else is wrong, they may give you a cone for your dog to wear so he can't get at his foot and bandage it so it heals. good luck!
