I suppose it would depend on your skill set. Typical home jobs would include:
Baby Sitting
Transcription (typing)
Selling products like cosmetics (Avon, Mary Kay), candles etc. - probably would take a little start up capital
Auto Repair
I am sure there are others.
I suppose you would have a least a few start up costs for any of these, except maybe transcription as it is clear you already have a computer. If you are starting a small business, you might be able to get a small business loan. Look in the want adds of news papers and magazines, but be wary of get rich quick schemes.

I know of something that you can do on the computer to make money, doesn't require any fees either upfront or at any time, and you don't even have to leave the house. Your only investment is time, and only a little bit of it a week!
And no, it's not CashCrate, Treasure Trooper, any PayPal chain mail schemes, or any survey nonsense. It's global, too! And no spam or viruses will fill your mailbox!
Over 100,000 web surfers have signed up since the site went online 4 weeks ago! It'll only grow even more! The time to sign up is now !
If you or anyone reading this is interested, please click on my ID and click on the email link or IM me if I'm online. I cannot go into details here or provide a URL link so as not to get in trouble with Yahoo or its TOS.

I think what you might want to try when searching is put in work at home jobs. Jobs are for no money, no selling, etc. A home business, is just that you're very own business, it will require at least a minimal investment to get the business going. Another idea is search for telecommuting jobs, those tend to be more employment type work too. I hope that helps you in search & I wish ya the best of luck.

1st- Never join places with fees. I'm not making nearly as much as some people claim to be making, but I NEVER pay out money. I only complete surveys and view ads. I also started a website where I get referrals for telling people about survey places that I belong to. Check it out, I only list legit survey companies, and there are NO FEES involved! http://www.hill326.com/surveys/surveys.html
I think it's a good way to start, it's not gonna make u a millionaire, but your not committing any money to it, so there is no risk!
Good luck!!

Try cooking at home! Pies, candy, fried pies, picnic sandwiches, any thing that is good to eat.
It will take a minor amount of capital.
Put your ads on the free bulletins around town.
Put the word out at your church and clubs etc: that you are trying an experiment.
aLSO, TEACHER LOUNGES AND BEAUTY SHOPS CAN SELL YOUR PRODUCTS FOR YOU!
Good luck--tell us what happened in a few days.

What's a hobby you do well?
Do that, and then advertise yourself...
I'm pritty sure you have enough $$$ to print up flyers and then get a stapler gun to hang them up (if you don't already have one).
Best spots for flyering:
Library
Laundry Mats
Colleges/Universities
Busy Streets with Street Life or Night Life (this works great for music bands)
Some stores with community bulletin boards
Community center boards
CraigsList.org
and you other online FREE advertising media outlets (like free local new papers and Zines)
You then can do this from home... hence working from home.
;-)
good luck.
::: Peace :::
